چکیده

Background: The liver is involved in disseminated tuberculosis more than 80% of cases while primary involvement rare, representing <1% all cases. Hepatic (TB) can be treated by conventional anti-TB therapy; however, diagnosing this disease remains a challenge. diagnosis might particularly difficult patients with single lesion that could misdiagnosed as tumor or other focal lesions. Although computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings have been described, there paucity literature on contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) features hepatic TB. Case Summary: herein, we describe case patient tuberculous lymphadenopathy chronic Hepatitis C Virus (HCV)-related who developed macronodular TB lesion. Due to the finding hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) highly suggestive CEUS pattern, specifically LR5 category according Liver Imaging Reporting Data System (LI-RADS), good response antitubercular therapy, non-invasive HCC was made, underwent resection. We also review published discuss diagnostic challenge represented when occurs Conclusions: report shows for first time pattern misinterpreted specific are lacking. Personal history epidemiological data mandatory interpreting even HCC.

Case Report of Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound Features of Primary Hepatic Neuroendocrine Tumor

Primary hepatic neuroendocrine tumors (PHNETs) are very rare and their clinical features and treatment outcomes are not well understood. It is difficult to reach a proper diagnosis before biopsy or resection. The aim of this study was to analyze the imaging features of PHNETs on contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS). The clinical characteristics, CEUS findings, pathological features, treatment an...

Contrast-enhanced MR imaging of cerebral fat embolism: case report and review of the literature.

We report a case of cerebral fat embolism (CFE) that was imaged with T2- and T2*-weighted, fluid-attenuated inversion recovery, and contrast-enhanced T1-weighted images. Multiple white matter lesions demonstrated contrast enhancement, with little evidence of hemorrhage. The patient regained complete neurologic function. CFE can cause capillary inflammation and breakdown of the blood-brain barri...
